Hallstatt

Hallstatt, Austria ; Little town, in a quiet village.

Hallstatt and its nature beauty is beyond what words can describe. All these greenery and mountains are not something that we are fortunate enough to see every single day. But then again, we are so pampered to the technology and transport system that we do not admire it, but simply complain and grumble about them.

Hallstatt started with a bomb. Not even kidding. When we reach our stop, Jennifer was unable to pull open the door and hence, us all missing out stops. We alighted at the next one, only to find out that it is a 30 min to an hour walk back to our original stop. We then embarked on the crazy 1 hour walk on the road back to our station, beside the wild and a few houses here and there. Was crazy to mention lets walk back but, we all conquered it. Everyone showed perseverance. So much of it. To push and pull it all.

But it doesn't end there, we continued by conquering steep mountain slopes, and managed ourselves in one or two thin layers of clothes in the mad ass temperature in the Mammothohlen and the ice cave, not to forget the 5 fingers.

It is a whole new experience as compared to the one in Untersberg. But the feeling when you reach the top is priceless. So priceless. I feel so rich by heart now after all these travelling thus far. (Although my pocket is burning a bigger hole, hahaha)

The weather in Hallstattt wasn't as great as the other days that I have spent time travelling in. But still very thankful that I get to go up to see all these nature beauty before the rain hits.

Oh, public transports in Hallstatt is crazily expensive. Its 2EUR one way. So I basically spent 12EUR travelling for the 2 days in Hallstatt.

We stayed in this apartment called Hotel Seerose. It’s an apartment with two bedrooms, a living room and a tiny kitchen. I can say, we fully utilized everything. We cook our dinner and breakfast as we did not have enough time, and also, to save some money.

Right now as I am writing this, we are still on the second train to Leoben Hbf and need to do one more interchange to arrive at Wien Hbf. The days in Budapest is coming nearer and nearer. J
